What we have been up to in 2014

As I sit writing this reflecting on the last year I can only begin by thanking you for all your support and everyone who works with me at Ansford Internet. 2014 has been a fantastic year as we have continued to grow. We now have two part time members of staff and work in partnership with a large number of companies throughout Surrey, Sussex and Gloucestershire. The business goes from strength to strength and here are just a few of our highlights.

January started off with the latest version of our website management system being updated to version 3.8. This was a huge upgrade but not the largest of 2014. However before the month had ended we saw the launch of the new SHG Consulting French version of their website which went from concept to launch within two months and saw us managing expanding into management of European domain names.

February saw thousands of new domain extensions being introduced and we wrote a short guide on working out which ones you wanted to choose.

March saw our biggest ever volume of traffic through our systems, which is 19,000mb. This may not sound much but we are a small firm and this was equivalent to 1.9 million emails, downloading 380,000 website pages or surfing the web non-stop for 1,900 hours or 79 days! March was also a huge milestone for us as we celebrated our fifth anniversary on the 31st March. To celebrate this we produced a little video to say thank you and highlight the four areas we focus on at Ansford Internet.

April saw the launch of the Plymouth Sailing Team’s website going live.

May saw the launch of the new website for Sandy Macpherson Sailing.

June saw us working on some proposals and mock-ups for clients. It also saw many design briefs enter the office.

July was a busy month as we launched our design and print services. This saw us really busy working on a variety of new projects.

August allowed us to take delivery of our first designed and printed products for Capel’s Big Weekend which was a set of sails/flags with logo and printed text.

September saw us update our website to a new cleaner look and replace the logo on a dark background to on white and change the background which we hope you agree it was a great move.

October saw us working on the Weald Primary School website and creating a working prototype for them to get to know and use before launch.

November saw James Cole being recently appointed as one of three Student Entrepreneurs in Residence at the Royal Agricultural University. We also produced a short animated video of our logo, which we are currently using in a set of videos and presentations.

December was the time for Christmas marketing. We have been very busy completing marketing campaigns for clients and working on a set of graphics for an email marketing campaign.

We have also been involved in creating a website for a funding bid for RAU Enterprise and Entrepreneurship to launch a website, online shop and interactive teaching tool.

Ansford Internet also launched the new Weald School Website, and will be launching a Virtual Learning Environment for them in Summer 2015. We rounded off the year also by producing a little Christmas and New Year video for all our clients.

We have a lot planned for 2015 and it certainly seems from the number of enquiries we are getting we are not going to be quiet!

My New Year’s resolution is to try and blog more frequently and also keep everyone in the loop more with what is going on so lets hope I am able to stick to it!

See you in 2015!
